Comprises of a Chairman, Secretary and joint Secretary elected by the students in a democratic process. The third year students are eligible for contesting to the chairman position. The Second year students are qualified for contesting to the secretary post. The joint secretary post is reserved for the third year girl students. The contestants to the posts of office bearers should not have undergone any disciplinary action, and should not have any arrears in their subjects. The contestants file their nominations and the panel is finalized by an election committee. On the day of election the contestants address the students during the morning prayer meeting, making a plea to vote for them. In the afternoon, the polling is conducted in a democratic way in which all the students caste their votes. After, unbiased fool proof counting process the winners are declared. In the student council inauguration function the office bearers assume charge by taking oath. The student council conducts various functions such as Independence Day, Republic Day, Woman’s Day, Euphonyx and Annual Day with the guidance of the student council coordinator, enlisting the cooperation of the representatives of all the classes (UG/PG).
