DETAILS OF NATIONAL CONFERENCE AND NATIONAL SEMINAR 2008-2009
- Second National Conference on Strategic Management was organized by the Department of MBA on February 20,2009.72 papers were presented by academicians,students and industry professionals.The sessions were chaired by Mr.Y.S Hegde,Advisor,TCS,Bangalore and Mr.Srinivasan,Accountant General-Tamil Nadu,Chennai.
250 students are academicians participated in the conference.
Dr.Joji Chandran coordinated the entire proceedings of the conference.
- One Day National Level Symposium on Consumer Awareness Legislations was conducted on 31-01-2009 by School of Commerce.
There were four Technical sessions chaired separately by the experts namly Dr.RamKumar Singh,MTN College,Madurai,Mr.Subramani,
Govt,Arts College,Mulur,Dr.C.Lakshmanan,Viveananda College,Madurai,and Mr.R.Thangamuthu,Chartered Accountant,Chennai.
the Valedictory Address was given by Justice T.N.VAllinayakam,Former judge High court Chennai.
- School of computer studies(UG)conducted a National Conference on
"Recent Trends in Networking Communication" on 04-02-2009.MR.Sreedran,and Mrs.E.Chandra were the Resource person.

- A National Level Seminar was organized by School of Commerce on 10-02-2010 The Seminar theme was
"Empowerment of Women through Self-Help Groups".The Chair Persons for the Technical Sessions were Dr.G.Simon Thattil-Reader
in Commerce,University of Kerala,Trivandrum,Dr.P.S.Velmurugan-Lecturer-Department of Commerce,School of Management,Kalapet,
Puducherry,Dr.K.S.Aiyadurai-Associate Professor,Department of Commerce,Arulanandar College,Karumathur-Madurai and
Dr.G.Ganesan-Professor and Head,Department of Commerce,Bharathiar University,Coimbatore.Mrs.N.Kamini IPS,Deputy Commissioner
of Police,Crime and Traffic,Coimbatore City delivered the Valedictory address.300 participants took part in the Seminar
and papers were received from about 50 college.
National Conference Organized By MBA Department:
The institution organized a "National Conference on Strategic Management" on February 19,2010 in the campus.
283 participants were present for the conference.72 papers were received and selected 37 papers were presented in the areas of strategic marketing,strategic finance and strategic HR.Papers were received from Tamil Nadu,Kerala,Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh.
Foods&Nutrition Department conducted a National Level Conference on "Role of Educational
Institutions in Out-Reach Programmes and Sustainable CommunityDevelopment" in Combination with
Department Social Work on 03-03-2010.Dr.N.Sabita,Associate Professor and Head,Dept of Nutrition&Dietetics,Vellalar College
for Women,Erode and Dr.Vijayalakshmi Prusodhaman,Dean(President,The Home Science Association of India)Faculty of Community
Nutrition,Avinashilingam University for Women,Coimbatore were the Resource persons.
Social Work department conducted a National Level Conference on "Role of Educational Institutions in Out-Reach Programmes and Sustainable Community Development" in Combination with Department Foods & Nutrition on 03-03-2010. |
