Inspired by the fillip and encouragement given by the Management to enhance the research ambiance, several departments have sent Major Project Proposals to the UGC for securing financial assistance. The details of Major Projects approved and funded by the UGC for execution are given below.

Major Project I:
1. Project supervisor    : Dr. H. Muhamed Mubarack, Advisor, Life Sciences
2. Title of the Project: “A study of ethno veterinary medicinal plants and in vitro.
Anti-microbial activity against Bovine mastitis isolated bacterial pathogens”
3. Project execution period: 3 years with effect from 01-05-2009
4. Total amount allocated: Rs.8, 73,800 /-.

Major Project II:
1. Project supervisor:  Dr. Manimegalai, Lecturer, MCA Department.
2. Title of the Project: “Enhancing the quality of Indian educational institutions by    
augmenting the CMM model”
3. Project execution period: 3 year with effect from 01-05.2009
4. Total amount allocated: Rs. 7, 53, 800 /-

Major Project III:
1. Project supervisor: Dr. R. Jayachandran, Director, School of Commerce.
2. Title of the Project: “A Study on Savings and Investment Pattern of House Holds in Coimbatore, District”
3. Project execution period: 2 years with effect 1-05-2009 to 30 -4 – 2011.
4. Total amount allocated:  Rs. 2, 28,000 / -

Major Project IV:
1. Project supervisor: Dr. T. Nagananthi, Lecturer, in Commerce.
2. Title of the Project: “Profitability, Efficiency and Non-performing Assets- A

3. Project execution period: 2 years with effect from 01.05.2009 to 30.4.2011
4. Total amount allocated: Rs. 4, 66,200 /-

2. Title of the Project: “Impact of Global Financial Crisis on Human Resource
